Y.S.I speakout
On the 20th of march me and my classmates who were involved in Y.S.I went to dun laoghaire to represent our school and the cause we were trying to raise money for. What we had to do was present a small two-minute play of what we have done and the work we have done. Our dramatic play was about three homeless people in the middle then six people wearing all black on one side to represent the negative thoughts about homeless people and then there were six people on the other side wearing all white who represent the positives and while each homeless person says there story someone in black holds a poster up with a negative comment but then takes there black coat off and moves to the positive side after hearing our stories instead of judging straight away.
I thought this was a very clever idea and I think it was a very accurate representation of what our society is now a day always judging a book by its cover but never listening to there story. I think it was a very good idea we came up and I really enjoyed working with my peer group together on this project and I thought it was great fun and I think it is very important to raise awareness for the less fortunate.
